Homeschool Photo Tuesdays for Ages 8-12

September 29 - October 27, 2026

A five week photography series for ages 8-12! We’ll meet each Tuesday to get creative with our cameras. Kids will learn how the camera works, and practice fundamentals like exposure, focus, and composition. Lessons include: light painting, a photo scavenger hunt, shooting portraits, movement, and close ups, and weather permitting, making sun prints (cyanotypes), one of the earliest photographic printing processes. We’ll wrap up class by making prints of favorite photos to take home.

Perfect for homeschoolers or kids with daytime availability.

A camera is required for class. A camera with a “manual” mode is ideal, but a point and shoot is fine too. We have several cameras available to borrow. Please let us know if you need one.
