Shooting the Blue Moon Workshop with Patti Blake

January 31, 2026 (rescheduled from Jan. 3 due to rain!)

Join photographer Patti Blake in a small group workshop to photograph the January blue moon, which occurs when two full moons happen within the same month. Begin at moonrise to capture the moon large and low on the horizon. The moon will be rising as the sun is setting, so this will be a unique opportunity to get a golden hour moon shot, and then continue shooting as the sky darkens.

Patti will cover exposure, lens choice, focus and composition. The workshop will meet at the North Lagoon Bridge on Panama City Beach.

As an intermediate level class, you’ll want to be comfortable shooting in manual mode.

*For this workshop you will need a camera and tripod. Recommended lenses are wide angle and telephoto. A small flashlight is always helpful for night photography.

Saturday night, 4:00 - 6:00pm, $50
